Am I eligible for financial assistance for child care expenses?


Many Group and Family Child Care programs accept state funded vouchers. You may be eligible for a voucher if you are returning to school or work and are receiving AFDC. In order to be eligible for EEC Financial Assistance, all parents/guardians in your household must meet both an income and an activity requirement. To find out if you are eligible for financial assistance through The Department of Early Education and Care Click Here or call the Western Regional Office @ 413-788-8401.

Income eligible slots may be available through the voucher programs or through a contracted program that specific providers participate in. There is often a waitlist for these slots, and all perspective families should get on the statewide waitlist through their provider of choice, or the local agency that handles the vouchers.
